MEET THE OWNER
MY STORY
Hello, I’m Karla Benitez, a passionate pastry chef based in Austin, Texas. My culinary journey began in Canada, where I had the incredible opportunity to study at Le Cordon Bleu, one of the most prestigious culinary schools in the world. It was there that I mastered the delicate arts of chocolatiering and creating handmade desserts, which quickly became my specialty and my passion.
After completing my studies, I returned to Austin and began working at Fairmont Austin.
I started as a pastry cook and, through dedication and a deep love for my craft, I swiftly rose to the position of sous chef. Over the course of five years, I honed my skills, led a talented team, and created countless desserts that brought smiles to our guests.
Now, I’m embarking on an exciting new chapter: opening my own business. My goal is simple but profound—to spread joy with every cookie, cake, and dessert I create. I believe that desserts are more than just food; they are moments of happiness, and I’m committed to sharing that happiness with as many people as possible.
